Exactly one year ago, Daniel Faller joined the management team at cyber-Wear. Since then, he has experienced an intense year full of change, challenges, and crucial strategic decisions. In this exclusive interview, he shares his personal impressions, the biggest milestones, and why, for him, the past year has above all been a time of preparation for the future.
cyber-Wear: “You’ve now been part of cyber-Wear for a year. How would you sum up this first year in retrospect?”
Daniel Faller: “My first year at cyber-Wear was certainly intense and strongly shaped by restructuring — both in terms of personnel and organization — and by setting the course for the future. Even though the growth we aimed for has not yet materialized this year, it was essential to lay the groundwork to move toward our long-term vision. Looking back, I see it as a year of preparation — with many decisions that will give us stability, scalability, and development opportunities in the future.”
cW: “Which projects or moments excited you the most or made you particularly proud this year?”
DF: “Just a few weeks after joining the company, I had the chance to take part in the big 30th anniversary celebration. It was amazing to see the strong sense of togetherness and identification with the company. Even if that’s not always so obvious in day-to-day business, I’m proud that we managed to break through established structures, rebuild them, improve processes, and address pain points that were reflected back to us by the team. I find it motivating that the management team is working closely together toward a clear goal.”
cW: “Were there any challenges that stood out to you, and what did you learn from them?”
DF: “One of the biggest challenges was definitely initiating change while also remaining patient when results weren’t immediately measurable. I’ve learned that transparency and communication are key — both internally with the teams and externally. Balancing short-term expectations with a long-term perspective has been a major learning experience for me.”
cW: “How did you experience working with your team and other departments?”
DF: “The team is the greatest asset at cyber-Wear. Everyone supports each other, new colleagues are welcomed openly and warmly, and from day one I felt genuinely comfortable — as if I had been working with my colleagues much longer than I actually had. In a year full of restructuring, this sense of unity was incredibly valuable and demonstrates the strength of the company culture here.”
cW: “Is there a particular anecdote or experience from this year that left a lasting impression on you?”
DF: “It’s really hard for me to pick just one — there were definitely many funny moments.”
cW: “What are your goals or wishes for the coming year at cyber-Wear?”
DF: “For the coming year, I hope that the strategic decisions of the past months will visibly bear fruit. My goal is to achieve the targeted financial results, further secure stability, and most importantly, create opportunities for further investment. I also hope that the changes we’ve made will become even more tangible for the entire team — and that together, we can really attack our growth path.”
