At PSI 2026 in Düsseldorf, something is happening that has never been seen before in our industry. Something that goes far beyond a trade show. A moment that shows what becomes possible when people from all over Europe and the world come together to create something greater than themselves.
We are attempting a world record for
“The most varieties of brands in a promotional merchandise display” – 250 brands.
But this record is more than a number. It is a symbol. It stands for the diversity of our industry, for its creativity, its global interconnectedness, and its unshakeable solidarity. It shows what we can achieve when each of us contributes a small piece that grows into something remarkable.
For the record attempt, exhibitors, distributors, service providers, suppliers, brand managers, and visitors bring branded products they have collected over the years. Treasures from archives, memorable production samples, finds from international trade shows, iconic campaign items, rare sample-case pieces, or personal favorites from private collections. Every product tells a story. Every brand represents an idea. Every submission is a mosaic piece of a larger whole.
On site, these contributions form an impressive presentation of the brand world—spontaneous, vibrant, colorful, and full of energy that only a community can create. All products are collected, verified, and arranged during the event on a large brand display that fills up piece by piece. Every single contribution becomes part of a historic moment.
This record attempt is not only a highlight of the trade show, but also an emotional farewell gift to Düsseldorf, the long-time home of PSI. A visual image of unity, visible from above, carrying the message:
“Goodbye Düsseldorf” and at the same time: “Hello Future.”
It is a moment that shows who we are: a strong, dynamic, international community that connects brands, moves people, and tells stories. We invite everyone to be part of this unique moment. Because this record belongs to all of us.
250 brands. One community. A moment for the history books.
A Record as a Symbol of Community
“This initiative is far more than a record attempt for us,” says Petra Lassahn, Director PSI. “It is a thank-you to Düsseldorf, an emotional conclusion, and at the same time a new beginning. What we show here reflects the heart of our industry—creativity, sustainability, and solidarity.”
“This world record attempt is a symbol of our industry,” explains Steven Baumgaertner, CEO of cyber-Wear and initiator of the project. “It shows that promotional products are far more than objects—they are emotional ambassadors, cultural bridges, and the most visible form of living brand communication. At a time when so much has become digital, we collectively prove the power of the tangible.”
