25 Years at cyber-Wear

In November 2000 – a quarter of a century ago – Tanja began her journey at cyber-Wear. Back then, there were no smartphones or social media, Google was only two years old, and most people still dialed into the internet with a noisy modem. Since then, the world – and our company – has changed rapidly.

Tanja has been part of this development from the very beginning. She started back then as a temp, working two to three half-days per week to support the accounting department – her children were still young at the time. “My first day at the office in Wieblingen was exciting,” she recalls. “Getting back into working life after three years of parental leave was a big adjustment.”

As cyber-Wear grew, so did Tanja’s role: her working hours soon increased to four hours a day, and she experienced the company’s milestones firsthand – from the small office in Wieblingen to the large building in Dossenheim and finally to the current location in Mannheim.

What stands out most for her are the changes in day-to-day work: “We used to get a stack of mail every day, now almost everything comes by email – scanning invoices and credit notes has become unnecessary. It’s an enormous relief!”

Things stay lively for Tanja in her private life too: with three grandchildren now, there’s always something going on. What does she particularly appreciate about cyber-Wear? “The independence in my work – that’s something I personally enjoy a lot.”

Dear Tanja, 25 years of dedication, experience, and loyalty – that is truly something special. We sincerely thank you and look forward to many more years together!
