One Year at cyber-Wear: Stephanie Looks Back

Stephanie has been part of the cyber-Wear team for a year now. Starting out as an HR Administrator, she has shaped many key HR topics over the past months, further developed processes, and built structures. A few months later, Stephanie officially took on the role of HR Officer, assuming operational responsibility for the entire HR department. In the interview, she looks back on her first year at cyber-Wear, talks about her experiences and challenges, and shares what the new role means to her.

cyber-Wear: Stephanie, you’ve now been with cyber-Wear for a year. How would you describe your first year in HR?

My first year was incredibly diverse – right from the start I was able to dive deeply into all HR topics, build structures, and further develop processes. No day was like the other – and that’s exactly what makes HR at cW so exciting. What I especially appreciate is that I was able to shape so many things while also gaining the trust of my colleagues and the management team.

cW: During this time, you took on the role of HR Officer. What does this promotion mean to you?

A great deal! The new role is not just a new job title for me but confirmation that commitment and initiative pay off – and at the same time, it’s motivation to take on even more responsibility. I also see it as a sign of trust that I am able to help shape the HR department both professionally and organizationally.

cW: Which tasks or moments from your first year stand out the most for you?

I could name many projects – but what stays with me most are the human moments: laughing together, the openness within the team, and the feeling that we tackle challenges together. This atmosphere makes working in HR at cW special – it shows that despite everything on our plate, we never lose our sense of humor or team spirit.

cW: How do you see your role in the further development of our HR department and in supporting colleagues?

I see my role in HR as both a connecting point and a space for development. On one hand, I want to create processes and structures that offer transparency and reliability – on the other, I see myself as a partner for employees and managers. It’s important to me that HR works in a practical and solution-oriented way without losing its human touch. I want colleagues to experience HR as a source of support – not as an obstacle. My goal is to establish HR as a department that provides tangible support, offers guidance, and actively contributes.

cW: Which experiences or insights from the past year have had the greatest impact on you?

How important communication is – open, honest, and at eye level. And that change takes time but pays off if you stay consistent. I’ve learned that with structure, humor, and a clear goal, even complex topics can be handled well together.

cW: What goals have you set for your new role, and what do you want to further advance in the HR department?

I want to continue professionalizing the HR department and expand our tools so that they don’t just support administrative tasks but create real added value – for everyone in the company. For me, it’s about creating structures that truly help in everyday life – simplifying processes, making communication clearer, and shaping HR topics in a way that genuinely relieves colleagues. My goal is to stay on the path we’ve started: with clear structures, open communication, and strong teamwork. I’m excited to continue actively shaping the HR department at cW and developing it step by step.
