cyber-Wear Heidelberg GmbH has once again won Deutsche Bahn AG’s Europe-wide tender for promotional merchandise management and the Bahnshop.
The new contract has an initial term of four years, with the option to extend for a further four years, reaffirming the long-term strategic partnership between Deutsche Bahn and cyber-Wear.
With the renewed contract award, Deutsche Bahn continues to rely on cyber-Wear’s international infrastructure, digital platform solutions, and extensive brand and fulfillment expertise.
The scope of services includes, among other things:
• operation and further development of the Bahnshop
• global sourcing and production processes
• sustainable merchandise and brand experience concepts
• complex logistics and fulfillment services
• digital platform and shop solutions
• operational management of numerous promotional merchandise processes across the DB Group
The renewed decision in favor of cyber-Wear particularly underlines the growing importance of integrated platform, logistics, and brand solutions within national and international corporate structures.
“We are very pleased about the renewed trust Deutsche Bahn has placed in us. This long-term extension confirms the development we have achieved together over the past years and, at the same time, demonstrates how modern promotional merchandise and merchandising solutions have evolved into strategic brand experience platforms,” explains Steven Baumgaertner, CEO of cyber-Wear Heidelberg GmbH.
Simon Merkel, Account Director at cyber-Wear and responsible for managing the Deutsche Bahn account for many years, adds: “Deutsche Bahn is one of the most complex and, at the same time, most exciting projects within our group of companies. Over many years, we have built an extremely close and collaborative partnership that goes far beyond traditional promotional merchandise processes. We are therefore all the more pleased to be able to continue this journey together for the long term.”
Christoph Luthe, Sales Director at cyber-Wear, also sees the renewed contract as an important signal for the industry: “The requirements for modern merchandise and platform solutions are currently undergoing a fundamental transformation. International supply chains, digital processes, sustainability, speed, and brand management must work seamlessly together today. The fact that we can continue this journey together with Deutsche Bahn confirms both our strategic direction and our operational capabilities.”
Over the past years, cyber-Wear has continuously developed the Bahnshop as well as numerous Deutsche Bahn merchandising and brand processes, both technologically and operationally. Particular focus has been placed on digitalization, process automation, sustainability, scalability, and the consistent further development of the brand experience.
Within the industry, the partnership is regarded as one of the most complex and visible merchandise and fulfillment setups in the German-speaking market.
“With a brand such as Deutsche Bahn, enormous operational requirements meet an exceptionally high level of public visibility. This makes us even more pleased about the long-term perspective and the opportunity to shape the next stages of innovation together,” Baumgaertner adds.
The contract extension also strengthens cyber-Wear’s position as one of the internationally leading providers of global merchandise, platform, and fulfillment solutions.
